We would like to welcome you to create and account for the forums at Forums.Agroome.com. We have many categories and sub categories. Also, please go to Blog.Agroome.com because this site will slowly stop getting updates until we can work something out so we don't have to post different things. Our new blog makes it much easier to interact with you, too. As time goes on this blog will die out, and the one on the new website will completely take over. This is going to be a big change, but it is for the better of the game. At our new web host we have a lot more space for a lot more things, and have plenty of data storage.

New Website!

That's right! Www.Agroome.com is up and open for business! We at Agroome choose to use Microsoft XNA as out game tool, and Softimage|XSI to create our 3D models. With these two powerful tools the games we can create have no limits accept the computer they are running on. XNA allows us to creates games that network so we can allow multiplayer; but what is a multiplayer games without it being 3D? That is where XSI comes in. XSI allows us to create the 3D models of the trees, people, monsters, and all the other objects we choose to put in our games. Without this software, our games would take tons of time to make.

We also have new plans for the future. I, the head of the programming department, am learning a ton about XNA, the C# programming language, and XSI. With this knowledge I can take the ideas that idea development were working for hours on and put them into a fully playable game. Though this is a very hard task, we really enjoy doing it. Creating games is what we love to do, and when my knowledge grow more, we can finally start putting out better games that will be very nice to play. Our main goal is to create many 3D games that will keep our players busy for hours at a time. But, 2D games can be just as fun. We will not stop developing 2D games even after we are skilled 3D game designers.

Another thing we like to offer is for everyone to be able to try Beta versions of the games we design for free. We will only release games in Beta form to the public after our specially picked Alpha testing team is done finding all the large bugs. Why we want to offer them for free is to give everyone a taste of our games to see if it will be worth buying the final version. We also want to offer free Beta versions to have a much bigger team to work out bugs. How it works is you get free games, and we get to find all the bugs in our programs for free. In the end, we all win. And for an even better benefit we will even pick the most active Beta testers to get a free version of the final release of large scale games.

Thank you for reading this post, and I hope this gave you a little more information about what will be happening, and what is currently happening. We look forward to getting more games out as soon as we can.

New Author

The New Auther

As you might notice, we have the head of Idea Development posting in this blog now. We have brought him in because he will know some information before I do, which will mean you will know it before I do!

You may also notice a different style going on in this blog post, because I am using HTML to write this. It is a little harder to do, but gives me a lot more control over what is going on, and it will let me do a lot more with a post. It will be easier to add and move images, add check boxes and more.

Well, that is about it for this post. We will try to keep you as up to date as possible. We are also working on a new game. We are working every day to think of new ideas, and to develop new games. The downside is it takes awhile, and we want you to be able to spend your time doing somthing else while we are working. Here is a fun game that will keep you busy while we work. It is provided by Miniclip at www.miniclip.com.

Here you go.

New Game - Falling Blocks

Over the past week, Agroome has been working on a 2D block dodging game. In the game you play a stick man, and you have all the triangles falling down onto your head and you need to avoid them. At this point, if you get hit the screen will turn red but you will not loose the game. Audio has been added which only plays for one minute, but we will be working on getting it to loop over. In the next few days out beta testers will be taking over with testing so we can work harder on completing the game.

*Beta versions should be up for download in a month or two.
**You need to have Microsoft Windows XP or Vista (all versions).

Update April 21, 2008: Servers are back online! Download the file here. Remember, this is only a BETA!

Update April 19, 2008: A beta of the game is all packages up and ready, but when I try to upload it, I find the servers are down. I have no idea when they will be back up either. I will try to upload the game as soon as I can.

Update April 11, 2008: Version 0.2.15.0 is almost ready to come out. When that is done, screen shots will be posted here, and you can see them!

New e-mail Accounts

Finally, I have got new e-mail accounts set up only for Agroome! Thats right, its not just going to be Agroome 2, its going to be many other games. Games like simulators, driving games, shooting games, war games, flying games, boating games, and many many mini games! Now, this is of course planned for after Agroome 2 is released, but it is in the plan, and we are thinking of many ideas for those games. Now, I invite you to come to my live chat room and talk with people and myself about the game, or just geeky stuff, the link will be at the bottom of the post... So that is about it for right now, I need to talk with the other CEO of the company to see if I can post the names of the other games on here, but it probably wont happen... Thanks for reading!

Link: Live Geek Chat

New Adventure!

In band the other day I thought of a new quest to put in Agroome! The quest name is A Whole New World. Right now I can't give you way to much information on it, because it is currently in the process of being made... In about a week or so, the quest should be done enough to give some information on it. Now, for a quest to be 100% complete we have to have our database of people, places, items, and monsters up to date, or at least have something to work with, which we do! But, in other news, I have been trying to get some one to do our music for the game, which has been going fairly good, and I have been working on some sound effects for the game. Well, thats about it for now, thanks for reading, and I look forward to see you playing the game when it comes out!!

Thanks!

More info about the game...

More and more monster names are being born every day! We are hoping to have over 500 monsters before the final release of the game. Here is some more information about the game: The game, in the end, will be a 3D game that is 100% online, and multi player. The best part is, players don't have to download a single file on their computer, because it is stored on our website, and your browser will do the downloading in the background, so you don't even know it happening, and you get to play as soon as you want! Now, after the release of Agroome, we will be making many more games, with many more features, and hopefully we will make every game we release one huge massive game. But, that is a long way into the future... We are always looking for donations and sponsors, because the more money we have, the faster we can release a BETA version of the game. If you want to make a donation, or sponsor us, please contact Erick Johnson at erickj92@gmail.com, thanks!

Search my site! What is an adventure you ask?? An adventure is basically a quest, you go around and need to talk to many different people and collecting many different items. If you complete the Adventure, you get a reward, and the reward depends on the level of the difficulty. The harder the Adventure, the bigger the reward you get! I hope you are all looking forward to this game, and I will keep trying to post more information! Soon I will try to post the names of the Adventures, but I'm not sure if I can. Thanks for reading!

Looking for PEOPLE!!

We need people that are willing to work for us for free. We will communicate through e-mail, and I will just say what we need... We are maily looking for people that can think of monster names for us, and are willing to turn over the names to us, allowing us to take full credit for them... I know they are hard terms to agree to, but if you are really good, we will consider you in a job some day. If you think of any names, just leave a comment, or send an e-mail to erickj92@gmail.com at any time.
